Physalis ixocarpa
Sprawling, high yielding, robust plants that produce many green to yellow ripening, sweet and sour fruits.
Aurora is a very early variety with large fruits. The plants grow up to 1.50 m high and also thrive outdoors without any problems. The fruits can be harvested continuously, taste sweet and sour and cause the lantern-shaped shells to burst as they ripen. If planted in mid-May, harvest can begin as early as mid-July. The ripe tomatillos fall off by themselves and can be kept for a long time afterwards with the casing. The fruits are colored yellow and can be prepared raw or, for example, as a sauce (salsa). Cultivation in a pot (10L) is also possible.
